Per Espen Stoknes

Per Espen is Senior Partner at the DTN and is the director of the DTN’s partner group in Oslo, Foresight Norway. As a consultant, Per Espen has worked with leadership development programmes and scenario-driven strategy projects for a wide range of Nordic clients in the public and the private sectors. They include the Norwegian Ministry of Oil and Energy, the Ministry of Justice, Norwegian Rail, Telenor, Ericsson, Norwegian Pharmacies, Skagerak Energy, University of Oslo Hospital, and the DnBNor Bank.

In addition to his consultancy work, Per Espen is senior lecturer at the Norwegian School of Management and teaches scenario-based strategy, group processes and executive team leadership at the Executive School, Oslo. He is also co-director of the NSM Center for Climate Strategy. A popular lecturer, Per Espen was the recipient of the 2000-2001 award for the Best Lecturer, Norwegian Executive School. He was educated in psychology, organizational theory, philosophy and mythology. He has worked as a clinical psychologist, organisational psychologist, ICT database programmer and application developer for industrial, health and academic clients and as the Editor of Impuls, a journal on psychology. His publications include a weekly column for a consortium of 50 Norwegian newspapers; a book on the experience of Scandinavian organizations with future thinking, “Laer av Fremtiden” (Oslo: Gyldendal, 2004); and recently, “Penger og Sjel,” – “Re-visioning Economics, balancing finance and feelings” – which is being translated for publication in English.
